36 is no longer used by any unifi versions we have in tree.
I tried to remove it but it's still used by net/mfi (this is a
controller for various remote controllable power bars etc,
also from ubiquiti so presumably a lot of the code is the
same as old unifi). I'm not sure if net/mfi still works -
I don't have any hardware.

44 is dead upstream but I was unable to get newer versions to build
so not sure if they've fixed anything.

I haven't found upstream commits relating to this yet.

patch for 1.85 at https://github.com/fifengine/fifengine/issues/1085
but there's a reported other (unfixed) problem with 1.86

> games/freeorion

fixes upstream, https://github.com/freeorion/freeorion/issues/4897
should be in head but not in a release yet

> games/wesnoth

a few relevant looking commits, and a recent release 1.18.3, so worth
trying an update before looking further

https://github.com/wesnoth/wesnoth/commit/0a9d351fe24a195ee5f8e4dff956eb80d3bf12be

The ports version of this is rather outdated, I tried porting new
versions a few times but got stuck every time. Maybe worth another
try (though not sure it will help this problem) and if not perhaps
remove it.

Not fixed upstream yet afaict.
