Hi,

I've applied your patch and build/install like this:

# env SUBPACKAGE="-main" make install

I have tested (re)indexing and searching and it seems to work fine.  My
only question is that with the command I entered it has built all the
other subpackages (-emacs and -mutt) requiring emacs and such: is it
expected?
