patch-Makefile rewrites so much, that MAKE_FILE = ${FILESDIR}/Makefile
with a plain file seems cleaner.

Also, you patch install, but then provide do-install.

I'd go with either of
- files/Makefile, no patch, no do-*
- do-*, no file, no patch
