I'm still ok with an import.

I *think* setting COMPILER_LANGS to c doesn't do anything here.
I also noticed that both COMPILER_LANGS and NO_TEST are indented
differently than the rest of the Makefile.

My suggestion is to hold back on further updates until someone else has
taken a look. Better not to have a moving target ...
