oh it has a vendored copy of lmdb?

openbsd doesn't have cache unified between mmap and file access, if
making a change on the one side, a sync is required for it to be updated
on the other side.

mdb normally depends on this working without sync, but that can be
relaxed if MDB_WRITEMAP is used (so that all writes are done via the
mmap). see the comment in
ports/databases/openldap/patches/patch-servers_slapd_back-mdb_init_c
(and the more terse comment in databases/lmdb/patches).
