aws-lc does not seem to be necessary at all in the first place. it is a 
transitive dependency caused by a feature of a crate that got bumped:

Anyway, I opened a pull request to integrate the native-tls change into 
upstream. If it gets merged, the Cargo.{toml,lock} patches are not 
necesarry (except for unveil, of course).
