Thread
Hi,

misc/rocrail was marked BROKEN about 3 years ago, due to the wxWidgets
update that happened at that time.
Finally I got around looking at it. I had to realize, that since the
version we have in ports, a few years later, Rocrail went closed source.
Found as it seems the last GPL open source on GH, and forked it, to be able
to address the wxWidget issues. While there, fix compilation issues, and a
couple of other smaller bugs I came across while testing.

Even though it's old, this, now again, works quite well for me. Tested with
a train on main track as well as programming track.
Also while testing, I tested other model railroad related ports. I found
that for some reason, misc/srcpd is quite unstable with my OpenDCC Z1. But
enabling the srcpd daemon in Rocrail, misc/spdrs60 and misc/dtcltiny using
this srcpd daemon, work like a charm.

Are there still any digital model railroaders around?
Testing/feedback etc. would be welcome.

At least for me, this re-enables model railroading on OpenBSD.

cheers,
Sebastian
