I think you should just move ahead.

You mentioned that it's been painful for you to keep your branch going,
across all the churn, so if your tree is in good shape now, I don't think
going through more pain serves any purpose.

I can wait with Boost until Python 3.14 packages are available for the
main architectures. I might even jump directly to Boost 1.91 then (tree
is nearly ready, 6 ports still need fixes and maybe bitcoin has a fix in
a release by then).
