With wlroots-0.20 now in, I came back to this:

* I still think we should add the "--color=off" and "--verbose" options to
the build.
* Other than that the port looks in good shape to me
* I tested it with a quick-and-dirty port of the CoW Window Manager

* CoW builds and works with the river port (and a bit of patching)
