gimp itself is fine, it's more about tools like resynthesizer, etc. That's 
why I proposed this diff as the least amount of pain for folks that want 
to use those existing tools.

I've already completed porting mailman 2 to 3, I'll start sending out the 
required new ports soon starting with a bunch of flufl.* and zope.* ports 
that will be needed.

So excluding cvs2svn, gimp is the only other port for which I'm looking 
for a way forward.

Given that mailman is (hopefully) ready once I polish up all the new 
ports, thoughts welcome for what to do about gimp :-)
