    I've yet to learn not to add a convo-derailing "also" to my messages. :|
    
    Just need to set a MODTCL_VERSION here. Any version, I don't care.
    
    Plan is to fix all the MODTCL_VERSIONs then set the default to 9,
    as I outlined here:
