Additional file type definitions and icons (xfile-addon)
=========================================================
Additional file type definitions are installed under
${TRUEPREFIX}/share/xfile/types/ and the corresponding icons under
${TRUEPREFIX}/share/xfile/icons/. XFile loads every *.db file from
its types directory and looks icons up in its icons directory at
startup, so these resources are used automatically.

XFile searches $HOME/.xfile/types and $HOME/.xfile/icons first, so
user-supplied definitions and icons always take precedence over the
installed ones. If a file type is defined both in the default
database and in an additional one, the default definition wins; to
give the additional definitions priority instead, copy the desired
.db files to ~/.xfile/types/.

Alternative versions of the generic "file" icons are shipped as
examples only, under ${TRUEPREFIX}/share/examples/xfile/addon/icons/,
so that they do not replace the default icon set. Copy them to
~/.xfile/icons/ to use them.

Slanted icons
=============
An optional set of directory icons in the style of IRIX/Indigo Magic
is installed under ${TRUEPREFIX}/share/examples/xfile/slanted-icons/.
To use them, copy the desired icons to ~/.xfile/icons/, e.g.

    $ cp ${TRUEPREFIX}/share/examples/xfile/slanted-icons/*.xpm \
        ~/.xfile/icons/

Only the l, m, s and t sizes are currently used by XFile; the xl
variants are provided by upstream for future use.

XFind
=====
The xfind graphical file search utility is included. Search results
can be opened with XFile, their location can be shown in XFile, and
selected results can be passed to XFile (see xfind(1)).

XDG/D-Bus integration (xfile-xdgsvc)
====================================
xfile-xdgsvc, a D-Bus shim implementing the freedesktop
org.freedesktop.FileManager1 interface, is installed together with
its session service file under ${TRUEPREFIX}/share/dbus-1/services/.
This lets D-Bus activated applications such as Firefox and GIMP use
XFile as their file manager.

Note that D-Bus activation requires a running dbus-daemon for your
session. To make XFile your preferred file manager in XDG-aware
applications, select org.freedesktop.FileManager1 yourself, e.g. with
xdg-mime default (from devel/xdg-utils) or through the settings of
your desktop environment; installing this package does not change any
per-user preferences.
