You can simplify WRKDIST with "WRKDIST = ${WRKSRC}" which is what most existing Go ports with patches do, I think it would make sense to do that. I don't mind either way but I'm not sure the readme patch is worth it. At least, I'd drop it if it gets to be a pain for updates (i.e. if upstream makes many changes to that area of the file much).
