From: Aleksey Arzamastsev Subject: uemacs-4.0p2, incorrect scancodes for some functional keys To: ports@openbsd.org Date: Mon, 8 Jul 2024 23:30:43 +0700 $ sysctl -n kern.version OpenBSD 7.5 (GENERIC.MP) #82: Wed Mar 20 15:48:40 MDT 2024 deraadt@amd64.openbsd.org:/usr/src/sys/arch/amd64/compile/GENERIC.MP Current package of uemacs-4.0p2 does not recognize functional keys wich Shift, Alt, Ctrl modifiers: at example, Shift+F1 should be S-FN1, but uemacs returned M-O. (Key recognized as S-FN1 and as S-FN2, but maybe it's a software feature.) At "Appendix G" of uemacs reference manual (page 80 of .pdf file) you can see list of scancode keys. Steps to reproduce problem: 1. Run uemacs 2. M-K, (bind-to-key) i-shell 3. Press +. 4. M-X, (describe-bindings). 5. Look on keybinding for i-shell function. Maybe it's a bug?
