Hi Matthias,

I believe ghc-9.8.3 is no longer behind 9.6.6 in terms of bug fixes. I
put a set of updated bootstraps in cvs:~gnezdo/snapshots and the patch
references them. People who want to follow along at home can skip the
BIN_VER change, the previous bootstrap still works fine.

I'll keep building Haskell ports, but wanted to share this early now
that I confirmed cabal-{install,bundler} ports work fine.
