From: Mikolaj Kucharski Subject: flare messenger needs Secret Service provider To: ports@openbsd.org Date: Thu, 12 Feb 2026 15:22:02 +0000 Hi, I wanted to test Flare messenger, but it errors with: The communication with libsecret failed. ``` DBus( Service( ZBus( MethodError( OwnedErrorName( "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown", ), Some( "The name org.freedesktop.secrets was not provided by any .service files", ), Msg { type: Error, serial: 3, sender: UniqueName( "org.freedesktop.DBus", ), reply-serial: 4, body: Str, fds: [], }, ), ), ), ) ``` I'm wondering how this could be more exposed to the user? Package readme? I'm not sure what lightweight choices for Secret Service providers are in ports, as the KDE / GNOME ones are too heavy for my taste. Do you guys have any advise? -- Regards, Mikolaj
