From: Stuart Cassoff Subject: textproc/tdom and databases/tdbc* from Tcl 8 and 9 To: OpenBSD Ports Date: Sun, 5 Jul 2026 10:26:56 -0400 Here are Tcl 8/9 versions of tdom and tdbc*. Tdbc and tdom are extensions that not only can be [load]ed into a Tcl interpreter, but can also be linked-to, and also provide stub libs. The tdbc-* ports are simple [load]able lib extensions. They build against a Tcl 8 or 9 install of tdbc and its stub libs. This shows that the setup with the *Config.sh files works. Tdbc-sqlite3 is a special case in that the Tcl 9 version has no files, only dependencies. The Tcl code is installed by the Tcl 8 version, and works fine in Tcl 8 or 9. The size of the PLIST is 0 bytes. I don't know if that's the right way to do this. Tdbc is also updated to 1.1.14. Tdom has a new patch for pkgIndex.tcl instead of a sneaky perl subst, making it more like the tdbc port. Also included is a tdbc-mysql port with Tcl 9 as the "main". Attached as tarballs; diffs wouldn't be useful right now, imo. Stu
