From: Marc Espie Subject: NEW PORT: tag-videos To: ports@openbsd.org Date: Mon, 12 Oct 2026 13:27:48 +0200 This is a set of perl scripts I've been working on and off for a few years. I was dissatisfied with the mpv OSD integration, which is the reason why I didn't offer it as a port before. I actually use this to index most of my videos and photos these days (since mpv can also show stills) Fairly foolproof, as it doesn't even need to build anything. From the DESCR ------------------------- tag-videos is a set of scripts to tag videos designed for mpv(1)-like programs. It runs interactively in a terminal, using readline to allow tab completion. See ${EXAMPLEDIR} for sample lua scripts and config for integration with mpv(1) The database is a simple sqlite database. tag-videos comes with companion scripts - search-video-tags that allows simple search queries, - merge-videos-tags to handle schema updates and batch operations, - display-videos-tags for OSD use in mpv(1) It has extensive features to suggest the best tags. Though optional, it will recognize and use the LevenshteinXS module if present: # pkg_add p5-Text-LevenshteinXS It can also automatically add some tags or rename common mispelling if needed (see RULES in the manpage)
