So it fails on the task,

  ansible.builtin.package:
Correct?

Maybe -vvvvv debug option will provide some details?

Before commiting, I've tested ansible on my quite big and complex playbooks
with OpenBSD and various Linux distros and the only breakage I've got was
with json_query filters which were ugly and should have been rewritten anyway.

Sorry for the breakage, hopefully it will be resolved soon.
