Version 2025.11.12 of yt-dlp has been released [1]. According to this 
announcement [2] and the README [3], it is possible to use yt-dlp with 
full YouTube support with QuickJS instead of Deno. As QuickJS works 
better on OpenBSD, I recommend using it as the JavaScript engine for the 
www/yt-dlp port. A patch will need to be created to enable QuickJS and 
disable Deno (the default) [4]. The yt-dlp-ejs component is also 
required to operate the external JavaScript engine [5].
